Wouldn’t it be exciting to work in the entertainment industry, promoting music and events, creating and distributing promotional materials for local acts and learning about how we promote music and other digital products online?

This is a unique opportunity for someone young and enthusiastic to help us out and maybe even get a start on a career in the music industry!

Because of the internet, with the experience of someone who is already successful and understands how it works, there’s nothing stopping you running a successful music business from home, just like I do.

Mostly I get paid in US dollars and Euro’s. That means each $1 = $1.70+. I can tell you, it rules!

I almost made $100,000 this year, but I ended up having to turn down work! that’s why I need your help!

It’s easy, you help me grow my business by helping me out, I help you start and grow your own music business online just like I did, dealing with clients internationally and building the experience in digital networks and skills in marketing to sell anything to anyone anywhere.

I will assist you to build a platform to market services you can provide and teach you how to market your site and provide general development strategies. In return, I will ask you to perform certain tasks, most usually online, that will help you learn basically about modern music marketing. From there we can hopefully
agree on projects that you can undertake that you will enjoy and are related to the development of your business and industry experience, but will also benefit my clients, so I can provide additional value to them.

From that point, not only will I be able to sub contract projects to you, and you can earn commission on jobs you refer to me, but you’ll be getting your own work leads through your website that you can get decent money for as well. Over time, I’ll teach you just how I do it.
So at first, to get started, I want to see that you’re committed and you don’t mind doing jobs that have to be done. This could involve jobs like guillotining paper and card, duplicating, printing and putting together packaging for cd’s, dvd’s, media kits etc., post errands, local deliveries, dropping flyers and posters off to retailers around the CBD – that kind of thing, different jobs all the time.

But I already have a full and growing roster of artists from around the world - it comes down to how you can help me help those artists get where they want to go - build ideas, build the hype, build the buzz!

That’s the business we’re in!

So in the future, if you’ve got telephone/interpersonal communication skills (I hate the phone!), online skills, design skills, written skills, and to prepared to learn new things quickly, you could become useful enough to be offered more and better paid work as our businesses continue to expand together.

Local & flexible: It’s very likely you’ll only get a day or two notice if we need you. We’re in Grey Lynn – being able to call you in or drop materials off in a hurry would be super convenient, or if you’re close to the CBD or Ponsonby – areas which we often work in, that’s a bonus.

Hard working: Starting at the bottom was never glamourous! This really is a unique opportunity so we’re looking for someone who’s really going to stand out as a hard worker with a lot of potential. There’ll be postal errands and deliveries where instructions will have to be followed closely.

Having regular internet access at home, photoshop experience, and know all about myspace, facebook, bebo, youtube etc. – these are the skills that will make you useful to us once you’ve proven you can hack it. So get this: once you know what you’re doing and how we do things, you’ll be able to work from home!

How much does it pay? It really does depend on what you can do and how much I have to be involved in managing tasks.  But this job is not about the pay.  It’s about every one who dreams of getting involved with the music biz, and the few who actually do.
